On Saturday, November 3, 1888, a dozen members met in a schoolhouse just north across the road from where the present church is located to organize themselves as a church. The schoolhouse where they held the organizational meeting was eventually moved to where the parsonage is now located. A 12 foot by 26 foot addition to the parsonage was done in 1978. The original church, above, was built in 1894 for $1,251. A new schoolhouse was built after the old one was moved.
